Akamin is used for the treatment of various bacterial infection; for the treatment of anthrax; moderate-to-severe acne; meningococcal (asymptomatic) carrier state; Rickettsial diseases (including Rocky Mountain spotted fever, Q fever); nongonococcal urethritis, gonorrhea; and acute intestinal amebiasis.
