Evoclin General Information
Evoclin (generic name: clindamycin; brand names include: Clindatec / Dalacin / Clinacin / Evoclin) is used to treat a wide variety of serious bacterial infections including infections of the respiratory tract, skin and soft tissue, pelvis, vagina, and abdomen.
It is also used to treat bone and joint infections, particularly those caused by Staphylococcus aureus.
Evoclin kills sensitive bacteria by stopping the production of essential proteins needed by the bacteria to survive.
Evoclin Recommendations
Follow the directions for using this medicine provided by your doctor. Take Evoclin exactly as directed.
Evoclin may be taken with or without food.
Take Evoclin with a full glass of water (8 oz/240 mL).
Evoclin works best if it is taken at the same time each day.
To clear up your infection completely, take Evoclin for the full course of treatment. Keep taking it even if you feel better in a few days.
If you miss a dose of Evoclin , take it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not take 2 doses at once.
Keep Evoclin at room temperature, away from heat and moisture.

Contact your doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine if:
you are allergic to any kind of medications;
you are pregnant, plan to become pregnant or are breast-feeding.
Tell your doctor if you have or have ever had gastrointestinal, liver, or kidney disease.
